Wedding Photography faq
Some common questions I get asked.
Can we meet or talk to you before we book?
01.
Absolutely! I think it's super important to meet up or chat about your plans and ideas before anyone commits to anything.
If you're local to Norwich I'm usually able to pop over for a coffee and a chat, failing that there's the phone/Zoom/Skype/WhatsApp, whichever works for you.
Are you insured?
02.
Yes, I am fully insured to photograph public events with public liability cover of £5million pounds.
Do you do destination weddings?
03.
Sure do! Travel and sleep expenses are subject to individual arrangements though. I love London weddings btw (hint hint!)

How many photos can we expect from a full wedding day?
04.
For a full-day wedding, 550-750 is pretty typical. Of course, so much depends on guest numbers and what you have going on during the day. More guests typically mean more photos. And if you have a bouncy castle that your tipsy aunt decides to have a go on expect even more photos, because who doesn't like to laugh at a drunk family relative on a bouncy castle?
How do we get the photos from our wedding day?
05.
In 3-5 weeks after your ceremony, I will upload your images to an online gallery, these images are perfect for online sharing (Facebook/Instagram etc). Then roughly two weeks after that, the images will be supplied on a USB/memory stick – these images will be high resolution and perfect for printing.
Please note! Due to Covid and many postponed weddings, the turn around time is likely to be longer in 2022. This is simply because May-Aug is packed with more weddings than is typical.

Do you make prints and albums?
06.
Yes! This is an added extra though. Ask me for more information.
Is it OK if we print the photos ourselves?
07.
Of course! All the photos I supply from your wedding day are licensed to you and your guests for personal use. This means that you and your guests can print them and share them online (credits very much appreciated, but not essential). However, you cannot resell the photos or use them for commercial purposes.
And if we lose the digital images?
08.
I keep digital backups of all the wedding I shoot and keep them for as long as possible, often many, many years. But I cannot guarantee indefinite backup. I recommend making copies when you receive your photos and printing them.

How do we pay you?
09.
Bank transfer.
When do we pay you?
10.
Each wedding is subject to a booking fee/deposit to reserve your date. This is a non-refundable deposit and it is usually 35% of the full wedding photography package costs. The remaining balance (65%) is due no later than two weeks before the wedding.
At the time of booking, you will receive an invoice with a cost breakdown and payment schedule (and payment details). And for every payment receipts will be supplied for your records.
11.
Is there a contract to sign?
Yes, all serious wedding photographers will have basic contact. It's dull and boring, but don’t worry, it’s not scary or anything like that!
Do you offer a discount for NHS/Emergency/Army service employees?
12.
I do! 10% off both of my main (full-day and half-day) packages. Just mention this when you contact me.
Do you know anyone local who makes amazing wedding guestbooks and wedding items for my day!?
13.
I'm glad you asked 😉 My amazing wife runs a little engraving business making personalised wedding items - all my couples receive a 15% discount. Just ask me for details.
