I arrived a bit early at Spiworth Hall, ready to capture every moment. Although Cath hadn’t specifically asked for prep photos, I was there, camera in hand, and ready to go. The vibe with the girls was electric – they were already sipping on cocktails and having a blast by the time I arrived!
Meanwhile, outside, Tim and his crew were putting the finishing touches on the decorations before the guests began to trickle in. It was all hands on deck, and the excitement was palpable.
Cath and Tim had actually tied the knot a few days prior, so this wedding was all about celebrating their love in a bespoke, personal way. Without the formalities of registrars and vicars, they were free to put their own unique spin on the day – and they did just that.
The ceremony was set to be outside, and we couldn’t have asked for better weather. The sun was blazing, and it was HOT!
As the guests arrived, there was a lovely summer buzz in the air. Laughter echoed around the grounds, kids were playing mischievously (in the cutest way possible), and everyone was filled with anticipation.
The moment finally arrived. First down the aisle were the bridesmaids, followed by the kids – all donning superhero capes, which was an adorable touch. And then came Cath, accompanied by her youngest, who was just as excited to be part of the ceremony as his parents.
The ceremony was a delight to photograph. It had everything – beautiful readings from Cath and Tim, and some lively songs that had everyone, especially the kids, enthralled.
As the ceremony wrapped up, Cath and Tim made their grand exit, trailed by a gaggle of kids who made a beeline for the ice cream. Did I mention it was one of the hottest days of the year?
With the ceremony behind us, it was time for some socializing and group photos before heading into the barn. And wow, Spixworth Hall Cottages didn’t disappoint! The barn was stunning, decorated entirely by Cath and Tim. Their hard work paid off, creating a beautiful, intimate setting.
Once everyone found their seats, it was time for food and speeches. The highlight? Cath’s heartfelt tribute to her mom and dad, which had everyone, including her parents, in tears. It was a touching moment that added even more emotion to an already special day.
With speeches wrapped up, friends quickly transformed the space for the evening guests and the much-anticipated first dance. But before that, we sneaked off for some couples portraits – my favorite part of the day!
We returned just in time for Cath and Tim’s first dance, which was flawless. And soon enough, the dance floor was packed, with everyone letting loose and enjoying the night.
And with that, my time with Cath and Tim came to an end. It was a super fun, sunny, and hot wedding that I’ll never forget. Here’s to many more days as beautiful as this one!
