Erin & Ashley
Dunston Hall Wedding Photographer
Erin & Ashley’s wedding had it all, but most of all, it had endless laughter!
Dunston Hall in Norwich is a venue I’ve photographed a few times now. It’s a gorgeous place, steeped in history with stunning grounds (and the food? Pretty delicious too!). Plus, it’s close to home, which is always a bonus!
I arrived bright and early, as I always do, for morning prep. Even though I’ve been to the bridal suite a few times, it’s easy to get lost in Dunston Hall’s maze-like corridors. Luckily, I made it with plenty of time to spare, and hey, I got a few extra steps in!
When I arrived, the atmosphere was buzzing, and the drinks were already flowing. There were also two adorable flower girls keeping everyone on their toes.
Erin was in high spirits, all smiles and laughter—making my job as the photographer a breeze! A few floors and what felt like 16 corridors down (did I mention Dunston Hall is HUGE?), I found Ashley and his groomsmen getting ready. I snapped the usual shots, including a super cute one of the guys helping each other get dressed.
With the ceremony inching closer, I headed back up to the bridal suite (fewer stairs this time—thank goodness). Erin was ready for her big reveal in her stunning dress. These moments are some of my favorites to capture—there’s just so much emotion!
But the surprises weren’t over yet. Next up was Erin’s dad, and let me tell you, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. It was heart-meltingly sweet.
With the morning preparations complete, it was time for the main event! Downstairs, everyone was arriving, getting seated, while Ashley waited at the top of the aisle, looking a little nervous but keeping his cool.
As the ceremony began, all eyes were on the bridesmaids, but the absolute cutest moment? Ashley’s little girl running up to give him the biggest hug—she was so surprised to see him there! It had everyone laughing, way too adorable!
Then came the big moment: Erin and her dad. Erin’s smile when she saw Ashley could’ve lit up the entire room.
The ceremony was filled with knowing glances, laughter, and giggles—just what you want from a wedding!
Once the papers were signed and a few last-minute photos were taken, it was time for the confetti! The couple nailed it here, bringing just the right amount of confetti, and we captured some gorgeous shots of this picture-perfect moment.
After a few group photos, we headed off for the couple’s portraits. This is where Dunston Hall truly shines. There are so many lovely spots for photos, from classic architecture to dreamy wooded areas. Absolute magic.
With the portraits done (and nailed, might I add), it was time for food and speeches. Everyone crushed it! Ashley, though a bit nervous, had the room laughing and entertained.
As the evening went on, the atmosphere was electric. There were countless opportunities to capture fun and candid moments.
Before I knew it, it was time for the cake cutting and first dance! I love getting everyone involved in the cake cutting, so I started a countdown, and it never fails to get everyone excited.
After the cake was cut, Ashley led Erin to the dance floor, and everyone crowded around to watch. After a little dancing, they invited their guests to join them, which is such a lovely way to get the party started. And, as always, it worked like a charm—the dance floor was packed!

After photographing some epic dance moves for about an hour, my time at Dunston Hall was coming to an end. But before I left, I just had to capture one last shot with the happy couple….
