Nicola & dANNY
Parklands, Quendon Hall Wedding Photographer
Like most full-day weddings, I arrived early, and from the moment I stepped onto the grounds, it was clear this was going to be a day to remember! Parklands, Quendon Hall, is as perfect a wedding venue as you’ll ever see—grand, elegant, and surrounded by stunning gardens. Add a day of glorious sunshine, and I knew Nicola and Danny were in for an epic celebration.
After lugging my camera gear up a few flights of stairs (go me!), I finally met Nicola and her bridal party in persion. Everyone was in great spirits, and Nicola’s mum was a riot! The energy was electric, with some of the groomsmen popping in and out, adding to the fun.
A magical outdoor wedding
Soon enough, Nicola was looking stunning in her perfect white dress, and the ceremony was about to begin. Outside, guests were arriving, and Danny was in full social mode, making sure everyone felt welcome. The sunshine, the smiles—it was contagious! You could feel the excitement building as everyone took their seats.
Then came the moment we’d all been waiting for. With the occasional chuckle breaking the silence, the ceremony started. Bridesmaids and groomsmen made their entrances, and then it was Nicola’s turn. She and her dad made their grand entrance, walking across the garden toward Danny, who was waiting with a big smile. All eyes were on Nicola, and what a beautiful bride she was!
The ceremony was full of sweet moments (and a few flubbed lines that added some laughs). Nicola and Danny couldn’t stop smiling, standing against the breathtaking backdrop of Parklands, Quendon Hall. And just like that, they were married! Their kiss sealed the deal, and the applause was thunderous—the perfect photo op for a picture-perfect moment.
With the ceremony over, Nicola and Danny walked back down the aisle as husband and wife, and now the party could really begin! The reception was an absolute blast. Nicola had even booked a magician, which was a brilliant touch. Everyone was captivated, laughing, and amazed—so many candid photo opportunities!
Before everyone sat down for dinner, it was time for the classic confetti photo. Since the venue prefers to keep its gardens pristine, we headed indoors for this shot, and it was such a fun moment—confetti flying everywhere, joy on every face.
The speeches were another highlight of the day. Everyone said the right (and hilariously wrong) things at just the right times. There was even a heartfelt moment with Nicola’s head bridesmaid that left everyone teary-eyed. It was super sweet!
Once everyone had enjoyed their three-course meal, it was time for a little breather before the all-important first dance. As more evening guests arrived, we had the cake cutting, which went off without a hitch, followed by the first dance—a perfect mix of giggles and sweet moments.
The evening rolled on with some epic dancing, and in one particularly touching moment, Nicola had an impromptu dance with her granddad. It wasn’t planned, but it was totally beautiful—a moment no one will forget.
As my time at the wedding was drawing to a close, I suggested one last photo. We popped outside, in the bandstand and under the moonlight, Nicola and Danny recreated their first dance. It was my favourite shot of the day—pure magic.
This wedding at Parklands, Quendon Hall, was everything a photographer dreams of—joy, love, and unforgettable moments!
