Laura & James

Oxnead Hall Wedding Photographer

I get to work at the very best wedding venues in the county. And this is certainly the case when I return to capture wedding photography at Oxnead Hall. Laura and James chose the most idyllic location for their spring wedding in Norfolk.

Multi-award winning Oxnead Hall offers a magnificent Tudor Hall, a medieval church, a beautifully renovated barn, luxury accommodation and acres of stunning gardens all at one venue! When I capture wedding photography at Oxnead Hall, I love capturing images of my couples in front of the stunning views across the river and old ruins.
On the day I headed there early so I could capture those all-important morning of the wedding images. I caught up with Laura and her bridal party getting ready in Oxnead Hall’s Margery Brews Bridal Suite. This spacious bridal suite has a beautiful four poster king size bed, a comfortable seating area, a large en-suite bathroom and an adjoining dressing room. So was spacious enough for the entire bridal party, the hair stylist, the make-up artist and me, the most unobtrusive wedding photographer in Norfolk. The atmosphere was fizzing with excitement as everybody got ready and I got some great images.
I then headed downstairs and caught up with James and his groom’s party. James was looking very smart in a blue three-piece suit with a grey waistcoat. He was in the courtyard welcoming guests and I got some lovely candid images of guests arriving.

By now Laura was ready and looked stunning in a beautiful lace detail dress with soft floaty layers, a sweetheart neckline and a scooped back. It was complimented with a beautiful bouquet of white flowers with green foliage. Laura’s bridesmaids looked elegant in light blue dresses. Before we entered the ceremony, I captured a really special father seeing the bride moment.
The ceremony was held in Oxnead Hall’s elegant Fountain Room. This light filled room is subtly decorated with statues and mirrors and has double doors leading out to the pretty Fountain Courtyard. Laura was walked down the aisle by her father, and greeted by James and his best man (his identical twin brother) to live musical accompaniment from a string quartet.
After the ceremony, everybody headed outside and lined up by the ruins for a fun confetti moment and it produced some of my favourite images of the day. Here, take a look!
Guests then enjoyed an elegant drinks reception in the beautiful gardens and I took the chance to get some great images of the wedding party as well as some candid images of guests mingling, enjoying refreshments and live entertainment from the string quartet who were now playing outside.

I also got a couple of romantic portrait images of Laura and James under the star lit sky. The light in these was exquisite and they were the perfect image to close the story of Laura and James’ amazing day.
A gorgeous wedding for a lovely couple at a simply stunning Norfolk wedding venue. Congratulations to Laura and James for getting married and creating such an amazing day for you all to remember. And thank you for allowing me to tell the story of it. I loved it!
